Gopher eradication can be a sensitive topic. Nobody wants to kill the little critters, but sometimes that’s the only way to protect your landscape. Using poisons can have unintended consequences for any other animals that come in contact with the poison (or a poisoned carcass) and could potentially harm your pets or family. That’s why we never use poisons. Traps can injure an animal causing them to suffer a long and painful death. And then you have to deal with the carcass.
At Native, we utilize a machine that delivers carbon monoxide directly into burrows and tunnels, putting pests inside gently and permanently to sleep. The carbon monoxide dissipates within minutes and there are no dangers to surrounding plants or animals. There’s no trap to clean up and no animal suffering.
We feel this is the most cruelty free and environmentally friendly way to eradicate pests that cannot be deterred or that have already infested an area.
Once the infestation has been eradicated, we have other, less final solutions to discourage pest animals from taking up residence on your property, such as fertigation, spraying and encouraging natural predators.
